Breaking barriers with language

My story

My journey into this work began while studying Sociology.

During an academic exchange in Asunción, Paraguay, I connected feminist movements I met there with the feminist movement I was part of in São Paulo, Brazil. Later, I was invited to interpret a powerful session linking feminist movements across Latin America. That day, I witnessed how language could build bridges: women from Indigenous communities and feminist groups around the world came together, sharing struggles, strategies, and strength. I realized then that language could help movements grow stronger — and I wanted to be part of that connection.

For me, language is more than words. It’s power, freedom, equality, opportunity. Knowing another language gave me better jobs, higher income, the chance to save money and move abroad, and even the ability to walk away from work that no longer fulfilled me. It gave me friendships across cultures, and the confidence to dream bigger.

That’s why I’ve expanded my work to teaching English. Because English, too, can break barriers. It opens doors, creates possibilities, and gives people the freedom to choose their own paths. Whether through interpretation, translation, or teaching, my mission is the same: to connect people and empower them to live with more freedom and opportunity.

Are you ready to break barriers and unlock new possibilities with language? Let’s connect!
